About Verdant

Bookkeeping run by someone who's actually built a company.

Verdant exists because I've sat on the other side of this problem — as a founder, not as an accountant looking in.

Why I started Verdant

I've built and launched my own app, handling billing infrastructure and everything that comes with turning an idea into something people actually pay for. What I noticed is that bookkeeping is one of the first things a founder puts off — not because it doesn't matter, but because it competes for the same hours as building the product and finding customers.

By the time it gets attention, months of transactions are unsorted, nobody's sure what the real margins look like, and tax season turns into a scramble. I started Verdant to be the fix for that: someone who keeps the books clean every month, without needing to be managed or chased.

Who I work with

Verdant focuses on two kinds of businesses, deliberately: SaaS and software founders dealing with subscriptions, Stripe payouts, and tool spend that sprawls across a dozen cards, and e-commerce sellers on Shopify or Amazon whose bank deposits never quite match their sales because of fees, refunds, and payout timing.

Both have books that look deceptively simple from the outside and are genuinely easy to get wrong. That's the work Verdant is built around.

How I work

A few things stay fixed regardless of client size:

What Verdant doesn't do

Verdant keeps your books accurate and ready for tax season, but doesn't file your taxes or replace a CPA. Clean books usually make that part of your accountant's job faster and cheaper — but the filing itself stays with a licensed tax professional.
